Quail Guide - Volunteers

Logging In

On a Chromebook, open Chrome and visit  https://quail.local/admin/ .
The username is volunteers and the password is shown on the Chromebook.

Recording Volunteer Hours

Once you're logged in and on the Dashboard click the Manage Volunteers button.
Here you will either see a list of volunteers whose hours have been recorded or a page saying "No results found".
If the volunteer has previously had hours recorded, you can search for them using their email in the search box. Once you find them, click their email to add their additional hours.
If the volunteer has not recorded any hours so far this event, click the + Add volunteer button or the circular + button in the upper right.
If you selected an existing volunteer, this form will have their email and previously recorded hours in it. Otherwise, you'll need to first enter the participants email address - preferrably the one they use for Peacock.
Then, in the Volunteer shifts below, first select the Department & Role, then enter the Hours, and finally click the Overnight slider if their shift happened after 10pm.
If you need to add additional hours, click the Add another Volunteer shift button to add a new row to the form.
If there's an invalid volunteer shift you need to remove, you first click the checkbox for the row under the Remove? header, then Save the volunteer. Note that you should not click the red Delete volunteer button in the lower left unless you want to delete the entire Volunteer.
Once you're done making changes to the volunteer, be sure to click the Save button.

Recording an Incident Report

If you are asked by a coordinator or board member to record an Incident Report, click the Write an Incident Report button on the dashboard, then the circular + button in the upper right corner, and then complete and save the form.
